Presented in the original Metalline Blue this groundbreaking ‘Fastback’ design launched at the Earls Court Motor Show in 1954 was only the second car to feature the enclosed hatchback rear. This feature gives her a striking resemblance to the Aston Martin DB2/4 and is often mistaken for an Aston and sometimes the Ferrari Barchetta! She was supplied by Ken Rudd to Tim Greenly who in his second year of ownership entered and came a creditable 91st in the general classification of the Tulpen Rally. The car and drivers were named as part of the 3 car team entering the Rally in Autosport April 27th 1956 and again in the May edition of Autosport Magazine 1956. |

Although not currently in place the car still has the original wire stone guards that fitted under the wheel arches to prevent stone pitting during gravel stages of competition. She also still maintains the drilled spinners which typically were wired on during competition.
The AC Aceca range initially fitted with the AC engine soon developed into the Bristol powered car before its final iteration being the Ruddspeed 2.6 powered by the Ford 2.6Ltr engine. There were only 8 of these cars produced and are now one of the most sought after and expensive vehicles to source. |
