The Ferrari 500TR
This Ferrari 500 Testa Rossa spent some time in our studio being meticulously studied by our team of photographers and videographers.
No. 36, as we have affectionately been calling her, spent most of her life in the USA flying round racetracks until she was retired sometime in the 1960s after her owner died in a race. The car was in a sorry state and remained this way for many years until Bruce Lavachek discovered her in a garage. Finally in the 1980s she was put into dry storage to await her restoration but remained here until 2012 when she was shipped to England into the safe hands of DK Engineering. DK Engineering are still custodians of this beautiful vehicle after restoring it on behalf of the current owner. David Cottingham raced the 500TR post restoration in the Goodwood Revival Lavant Cup in 2015 and the car won Best in Show at Salon Prive 2016 against the backdrop of Blenheim Palace. |
